HYLO® Gel eye drops contain the sodium hyalluronate, a substance found naturally in the eye and other parts of the body. Due to its special physical property, HYLO® Gel forms a regular, stable, long lasting lubricating film on the eye surface. This film is not easily rinsed off and does not cause blurred vision. HYLO®Gel provides long-lasting moisture to the surface of the eye to support the natural process of healing.

How to Use

Step 1: Remove the over-cap and turn the bottle over so the dropper tip points down.

Step 2: Prime the system before first use: Place two fingers on the base and your thumb on the shoulder of the bottle. Press firmly on the base and release. Repeat this several times until the first drop is released. Now the bottle is primed and ready to use.

Step 3: For better control and accuracy, make a base with one hand to support the hand holding the bottle.

Step 4: Lean your head back slightly and gently pull down your lower eyelid.  Press FIRMLY and QUICKLY on the base of the bottle. This enables the bottle to release one single drop into the eye. Release and repeat for the other eye. After each application close your eye slowly to allow the fluid to spread evenly over the eye surface.

Step 5: Ensure that the dropper tip is dry. Replace the over-cap. Avoid any contact between the tip of the bottle and your eye or your skin.

EXPENSIVE DOWNSIZE

"'Mini' description inferred smaller sized product overall, i.e.: fewer number of drops in smaller dispenser, which is what I wanted for pocket/purse size portability. Instead, this a full-sized dispenser with half the number of drops (150 drops vs. 300).  Will not purchase again because cost of 2 of these (total 300 drops) is $14.95 more than one regular size product containing 300 drops."

HYLO® GEL has a thicker formula for more severe dry-eye symptoms. It contains 2 mg/mL sodium hyaluronate, twice the concentration in regular HYLO®.

Is HYLO® GEL mini a different formula or a smaller bottle?

HYLO® GEL mini has the same formula and physical bottle size as the regular version, with 150 drops instead of 300. Choose mini for a smaller supply when starting out or using drops less often; the regular version gives you more drops for frequent use.

Can I use HYLO® GEL mini with contact lenses?

Yes, as long as your eye-care professional says you can keep wearing your lenses. HYLO® GEL and its mini format can be used with hard or soft contacts. A brief smear on the lenses may clear after blinking.

Why won’t my new HYLO® GEL mini bottle release a drop?

A new bottle needs a little priming before the first drop. Hold it tip downward, press the base firmly, then release. Repeat until the first drop appears. For each dose, press the base firmly and quickly. Keep the tip from touching your eye or skin.

How long can I use HYLO® GEL mini after opening?

Use HYLO® GEL, including mini, within six months of first use and before the printed expiry date. Write the opening date on the bottle to help keep track.
