Drop Tracker Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Courey Vision Inc., operating as EyeDropShop ("EyeDropShop," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information in the Drop Tracker mobile application (the "App").
Courey Vision Inc. is incorporated in Canada and has its place of business at 4505 Rue Cousens, Montréal, Quebec H4S 1X5, Canada.

Information You Provide
- Account information. We collect your email address and password when you create an account. You may also choose to provide a display name.
- Eye care information. We collect the eye drops or eye care products you choose to record, the dosing schedules and reminder times you set, and the record of doses you mark as taken. This is health-related information, and we treat it as sensitive personal information.
- Messages you send us. If you contact us for support, we retain the information you send and our response.
Information Collected Automatically
- Device and notification information. We collect a device token so we can deliver reminders, as well as your device type, operating-system version, and time zone so reminders arrive at the appropriate time.
- Basic technical logs. We collect crash reports and error logs to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability of the App.
Information We Do Not Collect
The App does not collect your precise location, use advertising identifiers, run third-party advertising or analytics software, or ask for payment information.
How We Use Your Information
We use personal information collected through the App only to:
- Create and maintain your account and allow you to sign in.
- Store the eye care schedule you enter and display it to you.
- Send the reminders and notifications you request.
- Respond when you contact us for support.
- Diagnose faults, prevent abuse, and keep the App secure.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not use your eye care information for marketing or advertising. We do not sell personal information or share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Consent and Account Deletion
By creating an account and entering information in the App, you consent to the collection and use described in this Privacy Policy. You may withdraw your consent by deleting your account or contacting us. If you withdraw consent, we will no longer be able to provide the App to you.
How We Share Information
We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate the App, such as providers of cloud hosting, authentication, notification delivery, error monitoring, and customer support, and only to the extent necessary for them to provide those services. These providers process information on our instructions and are required to protect it.
We may also disclose information when required by applicable law or valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, security, or safety of our users, the public, or the App.
We do not sell personal information or share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Storage Outside Canada
Your information, including your eye care information, is stored on servers located in the United States. As a result, it may be accessible to courts, law-enforcement agencies, or national-security authorities under the laws of the United States.
By using the App, you acknowledge that your information will be processed and stored outside Canada. If you do not want your information stored outside Canada, do not use the App and contact us if you have questions.
Retention and Deletion
We keep your information while your account remains active. When you delete your account, we delete your account information and eye care records from our live systems within 30 days. Backup copies are overwritten on a rolling basis and fully removed within 90 days.
We may retain a minimal record that your deletion request was completed and any information we are legally required to retain.
How We Protect Your Information
Access to the App database is restricted and controlled by row-level security rules designed to prevent one user from accessing another user's records. Information is encrypted in transit. Access by our personnel, developers, and service providers is limited to individuals who need it and is removed when no longer required.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a privacy breach creates a risk of serious injury or otherwise requires notification under applicable law, we will notify affected users, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec, and any other regulator we are legally required to notify.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable legal limitations, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete your account and the information associated with it.
- Withdraw consent to our collection, use, or disclosure of your information.
- Receive eligible information in a structured, commonly used technical format.
- Complain to a privacy regulator if you believe we have mishandled your information.
To exercise a privacy right, email info@eyedropshop.ca. We may need to verify your identity before completing your request. We aim to respond within 30 days or within any different period required by applicable law.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Automated Decision-Making
We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you.
Children's Information
The App is not intended for children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 14. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated version at this location and change the effective date. If a change is significant, we will also notify you in the App or by email before it takes effect, where required.
